Haha, well here it is at last, what you've all been waiting for!  Many of you will know I go to a tap dancing class.  The teacher, Wendy, is an ex-Tiller Girl.  For those of you not of a certain age or not from the UK, in the 50s and 60s there was a show on TV called 'Sunday Night At The London Palladium'.  this was a very popular variety show and the resident dancers were the Tiller Girls.

I've made to craft bags recently.  The first out of 2 pairs of jeans - I decided just to use the legs which is why it took 2 pairs.  I used the waistband for the handle, I didn't neaten the edges just cut close to the seam.  I've left raw edges all round and had intended to wash it before use to fray the edges more but used it before I had time to wash it.  The 2nd one I used upholstery fabric,

I live in Gawthorpe, Ossett, West Yorkshire where, on Easter Mondays, they have a Coal Carrying Championship.  This year was the 48th and the first I'd watched.  My daughter's children took part in the 8-10 year olds races.  Lewis came 5th or 6th in his race while Robyn came 2nd in the girls.  The children carry a small plastic bag with sand in.   Both women and men run 1,108 yards, mostly uphill

...what I was doing about 4am - couldn't sleep so got up after laying in bed for 21/2 hours.  I desperately want to be able to draw wonderful faces like Doone but can't really commit financially to doing an online class.  I would welcome constructive criticism as to how to make it more 3 dimensional and interesting . Each Sunday Hels sets a new theme for the Sunday Stampers challenge.  This week it's to use Blue, Red or Blue + Red.  I've made a tag 'cos I find it's fairly easy to think of something for a tag when lacking inspiration.  Made a scrunchy flower out of tissue paper and popped a fabric covered button in the centre.  Not waffling too much 'cos I want to get my effort posted and am out later ;-)

I had a lovely day yesterday at the Festival of Quilts at the NEC Elizabeth asked me to take lots of photos of the quilts for inspiration.  They're not just quilts, they are works of art.  Some of them are more traditional but many artists make 'art quilts'.  As there are a lot of pics I've uploaded the quilts to Flickr as there are too many to show here, but see the Flickr pics in the sidebar

Have just finished my pages for July as I went to DS's on Saturday and stayed overnight then went to a christening yesterday.  I've just made a start on one page for August and it's not looking good, just as well I can do lots of layers and hopefully make something decent out of it :-/  Pop over to Kathryn's for more info on the 365 Journals.  I did want to add more detail to the little squares

Eek mine's a right mess again.  Firstly the eyes are still on my wonderful easel - I won't be decorating mine.  There's a piece of paper with an imprint of a flower that I pounded onto a piece of fabric but it didn't turn out very well, too many petals so it wasn't definite enough, but I will have another go.  You just pound it with a hammer so if you've lots of pent up frustration have a go.
