WOYWW - Oct 13th

:-0 :-0 :-0 No improvement this week on my desk!  Just more stuff dumped on it.  You can see a doll-in-the-making under my journal pages and the blue thing bottom right is a weight (not sure whether it would be called a dumbbell 'cos of the shape? )  I've got a sore arm which has been sore (muscular pain) for months but the doc prescribed anti-inflammatory tablets which give me an upset stomach, he did say if it didn't improve he may send me for physio, but I'm not sure how that would help - anyone know?  Anyway thought I'd see if exercising with the weight would help.
Some of you may remember the doll chair I was making some months ago, well I finally finished it :-)  It's 14" high.  Just need to make a doll to sit on it.  Want to know more about WOYWW? then swing by Julia's to find out.  That's where I'm headed right now see if there's a brew going and a bit of cake ;-) then pop round some blogs for a snoop.

I think it isn't such a bad idea if you go for the physio - it can help - I think they do something with the ultra sound! Love your chair! You always get up to so interesting crafts!

I'm in the process of doing physiotherapy for my knee and i do feel it's helping, but not sure what it could do for you arm, worth a shot though if the Dr suggested it.

Considering Halloween is coming up I'd get that doll finished before it starts walking headless around the house!!! Love the little chair, for some reason it looks full size in the photo!

Hi Anne - sorry to hear your arm is a problem -maybe some physio will help. - I hope it improves rapidly so that you can get on with your funky crafty activities - I love that chair!

Interesting stuff Anne, I hope you only took your anti-inflammatory drugs after food, they can give you a bad stomach otherwise! I hope your arm is improving... I get all sorts of frozen shoulders and tennis elbows and goodness knows what. What a pain!
Get better soon.

Love the chair! You should make a full size one :) I think the idea wiht the physio is that it may be referred pain from somewhere else so if they work on other muscles it might ease the pain.

I'm sorry to read about your arm. I have no idea what "physio" is or means in your world, but if it's inflamed, you need to rest it, not exercise it.

Well, I can't find the little eyes this week, so I have to conclude they are buried along with the doll (OH NO). But that chair is so special, I am in love with it. You should send a picture of it to some magazine for publication. It's really, really that good.

OH, just found the eyes. Not buried at all. Happy WOYWW from number 2.

Love the doll chair. Hope your arm improves very soon. If physio doesn't help they why not try accupunture....It works for me :-)

The chair is so cute! Not sure about physiotherapy...ask the doc if there are any other anti-inflamatories you could take that may not have such an adverse effect on your tum. Pam (20)

I love your journal pages!!!

Neet said...

Love that doll chair - clever! Hope you soon recover - not sure about the weight lifting. I go to a great osteopath - but he is expensive. Love those blue pages you have. #142

Ciara said...

Some anti-inflammatories are quite nasty. You always have to make sure you've had something to eat before taking them - although that's not always made clear.

I hope it gets better soon anyway

I thought you were making some sort of headless creature when I first saw your desk!!! then I read it was the makings of a doll and not something for Halloween! I know, I need to get out more!!

Take care,

Ciara

pretty journal pages and an absolutely fabulously gorgeous chair.

I had arm pains for the last 2 weeks, apparently I'd pulled something out in my upper back and the Chiropractor fixed it for me today. No more pain.

Hi Lou! Watch out for crafting avalanches - I've heard there's a warning for them in Ossett! Love the chair - Mr B wants to know "if that's the size of the chair, 'ow big is the 'ouse?" and is waving to you, one scouse to another....

This may have gone beyond the ability of the push back method to create some workspace [grin] Love the doll's chair - it's gorgeous.

Wow Anne - that Chair is something else!!! I'd love one of those in full size!!!

I think i may have a solution to relieving the pain in your arm...

get a chippendale look alike to come and rub some warm oil on it while gently massaging it - you won't be thinking about your sore arm for much longer LOL!!!
