Festival of Quilts

I had a lovely day yesterday at the Festival of Quilts at the NEC Elizabeth asked me to take lots of photos of the quilts for inspiration.  They're not just quilts, they are works of art.  Some of them are more traditional but many artists make 'art quilts'.  As there are a lot of pics I've uploaded the quilts to Flickr as there are too many to show here, but see the Flickr pics in the sidebar and click for a bigger view.  I thought it would be nice to show some of the stuff on sale here though.  Just looking at all the wonderful colours is inspirational ;-)

Wow, how temping. I really LOVE art quilts, because that is something I can actually make. I went to your Flikr page, but the message read it was "private." So I was unable to view the photos. But thanks anyway for the peek into this amazing show. All that hand dyed fabric and fibers put my head in a spin. I want to go to my studio and start dyeing something! Thanks for showing these.

Thanks for showing all those lovely photos from the Quilt Show. My favorite was the one that had the woman, deer, and fish. Of course, seeing the crowds was fun, too. Thanks for sharing and for all the lovely photos. You did good.

I've only ever made one quilt and that was for a cot... I don't think I could manage anything larger. This stuff looks amazing, almost makes me want to try again!
There's an award for you on my blog Anne!
