I've gone for an aerial view today, a) because I like them, b) because the rest of the desk is the same mess it's been for too many weeks. The flower is a tracing from a piece of wallpaper that's going to be a stencil and under that are my August pages for my 365 Journal (2 posts down). There's a strip of fabric with some foiled and gel spots on just wanted to see how it washed.
Yesterday Julia shared one of her obsessions/collectoins so I thought I'd show 2 collections today. I've shown the scissors before but didn't include my dressmaking.sewing scissors, so the full collection today. And my collection of hole punches.
Also showing a t-shirt I bought a few days ago (£2), it was white; not finished yet and you can see the wallpaper flower previously mentioned. Dyed with Jacquard's Dye-na-Flow. I've used Markal Artist's oil Paintstiks on the t-shirt, used with a stencil and also rubbed over textured wallpaper. Pop over to Julia's to find out all about WOYWW ;-)

That t shirt is going to look good when it is finished. Like your collections. Kathleen x
Hi Anne
I love, love, love your t-shirt. What a cracker. Great art journal pages too. I soooo need to get on with my August ones! Off to have a catch up of your fabby bloggy.xx
Hi Anne. Think I can beat you with scissors and mine are all used for different jobs....God help anyone who uses my sewing scissors for cutting paper :-)
A x
Wow, you DO have a scissor obsession, don't you. I'm totally impressed with that tee. Do you like your Paintstiks? I have only used mine once, but never with a stencil. I am anxious to try it, since I see the great results you got.
Just bought myself a new pair of small scissors as my others were like nail scisssors and have started fraying the paper when I cut. Have a lovely Wednesday Anne xx
Thank you for bobbing by my blog! I love the T-shirt, very clever & great idea using the wall paper to trace.

Anne you are the cleverest one so far!! Yes, of course cut them up and run them through embossing sheets and die cuts!! (I'm talking about the glue tubes). I did have that idea but was too lazy to try, so saved them up, just got in, thought I'd try it and yes, they look great, the things I've cut so far, and here I am now reading everyones comments and what do they say??? throw them away!!
Anne you are clever that T-shirt is brilliant, very pretty, funny though, if someone spotted that they had that patterned wallpaper! an idea worth remembering!
Have a good woyww
((Lyn))
Hehe - its me - the girl who occasionally uses Wipso's fabric scissors for cutting paper!(By accident of course). Just had a really good snoop down your posts - love the Primani top and your dyed T shirt looks fab!!!
What a collection of scissors, think I might have quite a few hole punches too. Love your sprayed journal t-shirt hope it's colour fast hehe -:).
Pat xx
OK, me again to your me again. I can't get your brand Paintstiks, but as I understand it, they are the same, just a different name. I read that you had to wait anywhere between THREE and SEVEN days depending on how much you used, then they must be heat set (an iron will work or a commercial dryer). You need to heat set them whether they will be washed or not. Not washed would be like when used in an art wall quilt or book cover.
My brand is Shiva and put out by Cedar Canyon. I found out they are the same, just under different names when my friend did an Ebay search and learned they were sold in the US under Shiva brand and in the UK under Markal brand.
I just love to see collections, it does my heart good to know that I'm not the only one addicted to having more than one of everything. Although I have to admit I never thought of a scissor collection. I love the work you've done on the Tshirt so imaginative.
Hi Anne, wow what a great aerial view of your lovely desk, I love it! Great little tshirt and fab colour you have dyed it. So you hoard scissiors, lol! Mine is papers, I still dont have enough, even after 15 12x12 boxes, lol!
Have a lovely day, thanks for sharing! hugs Heidi xx
Ooh, fab colours on that T-shirt - am really intrigued now and can't wait to see how it ends up. LOVE your collections - maybe I should get all mine together but I think that would scare some people, he, he. I spy a Diary journal page, too - I wish I'd seen that earlier in the year cos I'd have joined in - suppose I could do it now, though... just not this month cos it's too busy. Thanks for sharing your work desk!
Hi again Anne,
The book on my tabel is Embroidered Books, by Isobel Hall. Lots of techniques not just embroidery, all types of mixed media which can be used on any project. I just noticed you are in Ossett my sister lives there too not been for a while.
That T shirt is really cool and I think I should have a go making one too. May pick your brains on that one. I love the 'month" journals idea. Like Cath, I'd love to do one of those too. That's my epitaph... I tell them when they plant me to add a sign... "I haven't got time for this!!" thanks for my comments too.
Hugs Jo x

That flower is awesome! I am sure that is going to look fantastic when you finish the piece!
I really like what you have done with the flower so you must tell me how you did it as I have some very similar (if not the same) flowers on my walls too I would love a stencle of them. So you traced them That I think can manage as they are rases(embossed) and then is it just get a craft knife?
I really like what you have done with the T-Shirt as well
Love Dawn xx
Love the T-shirt. Fab colour, I wonder what further plans you have for it.

Hi Anne
I think you have an obsession with scissors, although in saying that I have never had all mine together so I would probaly be as bad, I dont have any croc's do you think they are worth investing in?, Lovely stencil really nice on the T-shirt.
Christine x
Uhm - never put all my scissors together but could be rivalling yours LOL! Love the flower you traced that is so on trend and looks fab on the t-shirt you are so clever.

That T-shirt is brilliant ...trying to work out just how you created all the effects ... love it xx
That t-shirt is divine! I must remember for next week - use the the aerial shot as a way too avoid showing too much shameful mess[grin]
Love the t- shirt. I think us 'mixed media' people are definately collectors - of all sorts of things
Ok that T shirt is to die for (pardon the pun). I love how you've used the stencil to get a shadow effect.
I have a thing about scissors to just bought 3 new pairs - don't know why cause I always use the same ones over and over. I even took them to New York for the artfest oh and tweezers - my essentials.
Thanks for popping over to my website. The rings are adjustable and can be made in your colour choice. They have become a bit of a signature as people always point to my stall at craft fairs and go "theres the lady with the rings" lol always makes me smile.
Sorry I'm late visiting. Anita
wow i am impressed with that t shirt, the flower stencil is awesome, did you cut it out of acetate? I don't think I have any crafting collections, well maybe books, got well over 200 craft books, quite a few buttons I guess.
I do have a bag of polished shells, which I keep adding to and never doing anythig with, they are all wrapped carefully and just sit in a paper bag...
Love the shirt Anne! I have such a thing for tie dye it's untrue, I blogged about it once! Love the scissors collection, bet you still can't find one when you want one though!!
Hugs
Brenda
Oh Ann how exciting to see your little obsessive collections too, several non bloggers told me about theirs yesterday at the workshop - hilarious creatures aren't we. I love the t shirt - what a result - that flower is gorgeous - will work well all over the place - really admire your vision.
That t-shirt is great, I looked at the pic and thought maybe u were sharing a bargain buy until I realised it had started life white! Very cool!
I love your t-shirt! It is going to be really pretty! So you love scissors...so do I!
Micki
Tshirt is great - also nice to see your collections too - I have far too many collections and would probably need a few weeks to post about them all - that or I just have too much stuff!
Hiya Anne, perhaps I should call you Scissor Girl you have so many! You had me confused for a minute, I thought I was looking at the picture at first. Love what you turned it into! Great idea. ikki
That T shirt looks pretty impressive I must say! I've never seen a technique like that before!
