WOYWW May 25th

Firstly just to say the problems with not being able to leave comments on some blogs has been resolved (I was unable to leave comments on 38 blogs last week!)
Lots of stuff lying round on mine this week but sometimes I think it looks more messy IRL than in a pic.  Main thing is my new Big Shot yay!!!  I was still using the old red Sizzix but had bought some of Tim's new dies not realising they are too wide to fit through the Sizzix.  Got a very good price at Cutting Edge Crafts and at the same time bought the Caged Bird and Hanging Sign dies for a mere £10.99 each - extremely good price :o)  Also on show is what was going to be the front cover for my BIA (Bind-it-all) book but decided that I need a different colour so will save this for something else.  No further on with my effort for WOYWWAC as I've changed my mind about what I'm making, so need to get my skates on now.  I dyed this fabric some time ago but wasn't eally happy with the colour so sprayed it with a couple of Adirondak colour washes then popped it in the mocrowave to help it on it's way.  I got sidetracked and left it a little longer than I should have and this is what happened :-0
Popping over to the one and only Julia's now to have a peek at other people's desks ;o)

First, congrats on your win from yesterday's post. I just didn't get here in time. I've been so far behind.

Glad to hear your comment issue is resolved. Computers are such a hassle sometimes, and at others, they are lifesavers.

You have a lot showing on your desk this week. Looks rather productive and busy.

What kind of fabric was that you overdyed? Surely, cotton wouldn't have done that in the microwave. You really burned it big time. Lots of holes, so they might be useful in a pattern.

Happy WOYWW.

Your googly eyes are bigger than mine...(But I have a card with some on, so I could use that!) I'm sooo jealous you have Tim's bird cage AND a new Big Shot...I still have the blue one, on it's second set of plastic plate things...They bend and then crack. My cup is now full!! Have a crafty day

Hiya Lou Shame about the fabric but maybe you will find something to use it for. My little sis burnt her new dress this weekend. She made it for a special occasion and it was only second time on but just a quick run over with the iron -aaarrrggghhh. Good job it was near the hem she can shorten it at least. That's life -you live and learn. Those Tim dies are tempting but will they fit any of my machines? If they don't I can save my money LOL Hugs BettyXXX

Oh no! How terrible that your fabric got burned. I hope you can make something out of it anyway. It has the most wonderful colors!

You got such a great price on those dies from Tim! Lucky you! Your desk looks nice and buisy, just as it's supposed to!

Love those eyes each week :-D

Enjoy your Big Shot, I love mine, although it is an old blue one. I do still use the old Sizzix though for some dies.

Thanks for visiting, Lou - the sheet with the dresses is a Kanban Couture ladies topper sheet.

So glad you posted that burnt fabric - it never occurred to me that that would happen. I have been dyeing silk in the micro - erm and sheeps wool but it tends to fill the kitchen with the smell of hot wet sheep-YUK! Wipso & Twiglet
