Every Sunday Hels has a new challenge for the Sunday Stampers. She always chooses song titles for the theme and being a huge fan of the Fab Four many of them are Beatles songs. This week the song is 'Nowhere Man' inpiring the 'Men' theme. I've used a smaller version of the stamp Hels used. I decided to do 3 tags and go for monochrome themes this week using 3 techniques picked up from Tim. I used manilla tags. the first on I blended Aged Mahogany (think it's running a bit dry) and flicked water on it before stamping - the water effect isn't showing up too well. for the second I swiped Mustard Seed on my non-stick mat and spritzed with gold Glimmer Mist then swooshed the tag through. Think I used Adirondack Butterscotch to stamp and added some metal sheet in the corner which I'd embossed with a Cuttlebug corner and cut out, coloured with alcohol ink and used a bit of the metal sheet at the top of the tag - this is a bit wonky but as it was my 3rd one I decided to leave it! The last one I blended Broken China DI then brushed on mica powder (Blonde Moments Minasie Moo) while it was still wet (if you saw Tim on QVC yesterday you probably saw him do this ;)) Using metal sheet again I cut a couple of flowers using small Sizzix dies, coloured with alcohol ink. I used one of Tim's idea-ology Hitch Fasteners for the centre of the flower and wire for the stem. I used a variety of Tim's stamps for the backgrounds.
